About Nilson Studio

About artist Adam Nilson & Nilson Studio

Born in Beloit, Wisconsin, and a graduate of MIAD in Milwaukee, Adam founded Nilson Studio shortly after graduation and hasn’t looked back since. He lives in Milwaukee with his son, Jackson, whom he credits with the inspiration and courage to strike out on his own.

“There were so many times I was waiting for my phone to ring,” says Nilson. “It’s been a lot of hard work.”  

Since starting Nilson Studio, Adam has had the opportunity to work with many talented local and regional artists and designers, as well as the national cable TV show, “While You Were Out,” aired on the TLC network, HGTV, and his work and personality have been prominently featured in local publications.

You’ll find Nilson’s work in hundreds of private residences and commercial settings around the Midwest, including restaurants, bars, salons and offices.  When it comes to creativity and vision, Adam Nilson has no boundaries!
